Creature
Comforts Veterinary Service is a 24-hour small animal and exotics AAHA
hospital located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of northeast Pennsylvania.
We are well equipped and very progressive, with an emphasis on good
client communications and excellent patient care. We provide traditional
and homeopathic care for patients of all small animal and exotics species.
Chiropractic, acupuncture and herbal medicine are routinely used along with standard medications to
maximize benefits to our patients. At Creature Comforts we make it our
first priority to find the best treatment for your pet.
We are the only facility in the Poconos with 24 hour staffing, and
the only emergency clinic in the area. Day or night, our doctors will
be there if your pet has an emergency, and our expert technicians are
in the clinic around the clock to offer your pet the very best nursing
care.
We have two on site laboratories, including state of the art equipment
that allows us to run highly advanced blood tests (most clinics must
send samples out of state for these tests). We have our own in-house
radiograph processing facility so we can see the results of x-rays in
a matter of minutes, and we've got the latest color dopper ultrasound equipment
that can reduce the need for (and expense of) radiographs. We offer
advanced comprehesive pet dentistry services from cleaning to major
dental surgery and reconstruction.
We offer chiropractic care by an AVCA certified veterinarian, acupuncture
provided by an IVAS trained doctor, and we pride ourselves in the quality
of our continuing education for our doctors and staff.
We have recently completed construction and renovation on our Intesive
Care Unit to include a bank of oxygen cages, an isolation ward, and
critical care cages. We are continuing the remodelling of our annex
facility to bring our total clinic workspace to over 7,000 square feet.
We are taking every step we can at Creature Comforts to be the very
best veterinary clinic for your needs!

Why is it so important to be AAHA certified? Since 1933, the American Animal Hospital Association has led
the way to better veterinary care for your animals. AAHA's leaders and
other veterinary experts have developed specific written standards for
companion animal practices, and all AAHA certified clinics must meet
or exceed these standards. These requirements were developed in order
to raise the bar of veterinary excellence by ensuring that all recent
developments in veterinary medicine are being used by AAHA member clinics.
Creature Comforts is proud to be accredited by AAHA and has received four-year AAHA certification (their highest level of certification) since 1992.
